Guide

Printing proxies that feel right

Ten minutes, a printer and something to cut with.

  1. 1

    Build your list

Paste a decklist or add cards on the print page. Pick your paper size and turn on cut guides.

  2. 2

    Print at 100%

Open the PDF and print at Actual size / 100%. Use the best quality setting. Matte photo paper or 200 gsm+ cardstock looks great, but plain paper works.

  3. 3

    Check one card

Measure a card: 63 × 88 mm. If it's off, fix the scale in your print dialog before printing the rest.

  4. 4

    Cut

Line a ruler or trimmer up with the guides in the margin. Do all the long cuts first, then the short ones. A corner rounder finishes them off.

  5. 5

    Sleeve

Slide each proxy into a sleeve in front of a bulk card so it has the right thickness and shuffles like the real thing.

Questions

My cards came out the wrong size+

Your print dialog is scaling the page. Choose Actual size or 100%, never “Fit to page” or “Shrink oversized pages”. Also check the paper size matches the one you picked (Letter vs A4). If they're still off by a hair, use Printer calibration in print settings.

What size are Azuki cards?+

Standard trading-card size: 63 × 88 mm (2.48 × 3.46 in), the same as most TCGs. Standard 66 × 91 mm sleeves fit, and perfect-fit inner sleeves hold a proxy in front of a bulk card nicely.

What do bleed and cut guides do?+

Cut guides are small marks in the page margin, lined up with every card edge, so a trimmer or ruler can follow them. Bleed adds a 1.5 mm black edge around each card, so if a cut lands slightly outside the line you see black border rather than white paper.

Can I use proxies in tournaments?+

Not at official Azuki events such as regionals: those require real cards (see the official tournament rules). For a limited time, Azuki is allowing Set 2 (Fractured Domains) proxies at local tournaments. Check with your store's organiser before you play. For playtesting and casual games, proxies are always fine.

How do I choose a different art?+

Cards with alternate arts show an art picker under them in your print list. You can also pin an art in a pasted list with its card number, e.g. 2 Thunderclap (AZK01-042A).

Where are the newest cards?+

We add new sets as soon as Azuki publishes their card lists. Fractured Domains is on the way.

Do you store my decks?+

Your print list is saved only in your own browser. Nothing is uploaded: the PDF is built on your device. Share links put the list in the URL itself.
